I was busy assembling wardrobes in the bedroom when I heard a racket outside only to see a pair of Kites having a real go at each other over the back lawn. I dont know if it was mating display or fighting as I have never seen it like this before or since. I had the Camera in the room with a 300mm lens on it and took 5 shots in quick succession through the bedroom window, into the sun on a dull afternoon. Most didnt come out very well, but with a bit of tweaking this looks quite impressive. If someone told me that the feathers could bend that much i wouldnt have believed it !!!!

The moral of the story is... always have your Camera to hand !
